‘Talking to Media’ and ‘Presenting With Impact’ workshops offered to faculty

The Office of Research is again offering speaker workshops to interested faculty as part of the Purdue Research Speakers Initiative.

These workshops help prepare research faculty for engaging with media and communicating groundbreaking research to nontechnical audiences such as panels, alumni groups, lawmakers and general audiences. The goals of the initiative are to broaden public understanding and appreciation of how Purdue researchers are making a positive impact on the world.

Offerings for research faculty include:

  • “Presenting With Impact” (virtual group session)
    Next session: March 13, 11 a.m.
  • “Talking to Media and Handling Difficult Questions” (virtual group session)
    Next session: March 19, 11 a.m.
  • Individualized coaching

Group sessions are capped at 25 people. To register, email Peter Shelby at pwshelby@purdue.edu.
