Purdue Books Initiative continues monthly publishing webinars for authors

Faculty and staff are invited to attend the CRC Press webinar at 11 a.m. Wednesday (March 12).  CRC Press publishes across STEM and medicine topics including AI and machine learningdrug deliveryIT securitydata sciencegeneticsgaming and animationenergyclimate change and sustainabilityrobotics, and much more.

Alice Oven, senior editor for life sciences and veterinary books, commissions works in marine science, agroecology, zoology, entomology, veterinary medicine and science, animal welfare, laboratory animal science, and One Health.

Randi Slack, senior publisher for computer science, IT and chemistry at CRC Press, has 24 years of experience in scientific publishing. She acquires works across computer science, focusing on data science, AI and machine learning, computational science, and programming.

Rob Calver, senior publisher for mathematics, statistics and physics, focuses on books in statistics and data science.

All webinars are accessible through a Teams link available on the Purdue Books Initiative website. Event recordings are also posted on the site.

Future publishing events are scheduled for:

  • Purdue Press — April 8
  • Taylor & Francis — May 21
  • Wiley — Sept. 17

The webinar series is designed to help new and prospective authors connect with publishing houses and bring their projects from concept to ISBN in record time.
