Healthy Boiler discounts available for both Carmel Marathon, Momentum Indy cycling event

In alignment with the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program’s focus on overall health and wellness, Human Resources — Benefits is once again offering discounted entry fees to two upcoming events:

• April 19: 15th annual Carmel Marathon
• July 12: IU Health Momentum Indy — Honor Major Taylor Fondo cycling ride

Discounted entry fees for the events support the physical health, financial wellness and behavioral health pillars of the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program.

15th annual Carmel Marathon 

For the third year in a row, faculty, staff and their immediate family members can register for all race distances in the 15th annual Carmel Marathon Weekend at a 50% discount rate through the Healthy Boiler program.

Four races are offered, all of which take place on Saturday, April 19. (Races start and finish north of the Palladium on City Center Drive.)

Individuals can register for whichever race best suits them. Runners and walkers are both welcome.

• Marathon — 26.2 miles (Boston Marathon qualifier)
• Half-marathon — 13.1 miles
• 10K — 6.2 miles
• 5K — 3.1 miles
• Marathon relay (26.2 miles, four-person teams) — approximately 6.55 miles per runner

Purdue employees and their immediate family members should register via the designated registration link, which is exclusive to Purdue. The discount (valid for 50% off registration fees for all race distances) is automatically applied; no discount code is needed.

Those who register via Purdue’s designated link can pick up a Healthy Boiler T-shirt at the main event tent on race day.

Momentum Indy — Honor Major Taylor Fondo cycling ride

IU Health Momentum Indy is a two-day celebration of bike races, bike rides, food, music and family festivities in downtown Indianapolis. For the second year in a row, Purdue is offering a 50% Healthy Boiler discount off each race distance (14, 30 or 62 miles) for the Honor Major Taylor Fondo ride. Registration price increases as outlined below:

• March 1-31 — $75 ($37.50 with discount applied)
• April 1-May 31 — $85 ($42.50 with discount applied)
• June 1-July 11 — $95 ($47.50 with discount applied)
• (Day of) July 12 — $105 ($52.50 with discount applied)

To be guaranteed an IU Health Momentum Indy event T-shirt, individuals must be registered by June 27.
