Human Resources announces addition of 2 new SuccessFactors functions

The implementation of a SuccessFactors update on Nov. 25 adds two new functions — Joule CoPilot and SuccessFactors access within Microsoft Teams — to simplify certain employee tasks.

Joule CoPilot

Joule offers a basic introduction to AI within SuccessFactors. The AI tool is designed to help end users complete certain tasks by expediting them.

Joule is designed to understand users’ requests, retrieve information and complete tasks in a conversational way. For example, instead of manually navigating to a feature or page, users can describe the current task and Joule will help automate the tasks or help find desired data.

Tasks that Joule can assist with include:

  • Viewing email addresses, phone numbers and locations
  • Viewing leave balances
  • Viewing direct reports, department, division and direct manager

Joule’s goal is to simplify interactions with the system and increase productivity. Additional functions will be added in the future to continue improving the tool.

SuccessFactors in Microsoft Teams

With the launch of the SuccessFactors app in Microsoft Teams, users will gain the ability to perform certain functions via Teams, such as requesting time off, accessing required learning and more.

Supervisors also will get notifications to approve through Teams, such as time off requests and timesheets, and will be able to do most of those approvals without going to SuccessFactors.
