New Purdue News Weekly newsletter, Purdue News website to launch Friday

Purdue University on Friday (Aug. 16) will launch two major communication features to deliver the latest Purdue stories to a wider audience and in a more compelling way: the new Purdue News Weekly newsletter and the expanded and redesigned Purdue News website.

Purdue News Weekly will offer a curated selection of stories that highlight the university’s research excellence, innovation, awards and honors, events and more. The newsletter will be emailed every Friday to faculty, staff and students, and friends of the university also have the chance to subscribe. Purdue News Weekly will replace the Friday edition of Purdue Today, the university’s official daily newsletter for faculty, staff and graduate staff. Purdue Today will continue to be sent Monday through Thursday.

The new Purdue News website will combine the previous Purdue Newsroom and Purdue Today websites into a single, dynamic location to better highlight Purdue’s news. The site, which made its soft launch Wednesday (Aug. 14), will provide new content daily and will prominently feature stories on research excellence, innovation, Purdue’s strategic initiatives and student life as well providing a regular link to “Purdue News Now,” a one-minute, weekly video update. With its professional, informative and approachable design, the website will offer an easy-to-navigate platform that simplifies access to Purdue’s important stories and makes it easier for users to quickly find information they need.

Purdue News Weekly and the Purdue News website will be produced by the Purdue Marketing and Communications team with content produced in collaboration with campus partners.
