Healthy Boiler Fair takes place Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET with vendors, door prizes

Human Resources – Benefits reminds employees that the second annual Healthy Boiler Fair is scheduled for Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. The fair, which takes place in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms (North and South), is designed to provide easy access to benefits-eligible Purdue faculty and staff to learn more about their benefits as an employee.  

“We are looking forward to our second annual Healthy Boiler Fair for the Purdue community,” said Candace Shaffer, associate vice president of benefits and payroll in Human Resources. “The fair offers our benefits-eligible employees a firsthand opportunity to speak with representatives from many of our benefits partners to learn more about the benefits, resources, wellness programs and more that are available to them.”

More than 30 vendors and departments from Purdue and the community will be on-site, including Purdue Human Resources – Benefits, Anthem Inc., Carrum Health, Fidelity Investments, HSA Bank, Rx Savings Solutions and more. HR – Benefits staff will be able to answer questions about open enrollment for 2025 and other benefits-related subjects. Additionally, several door prizes, courtesy of a variety of the vendors, will be given away including two tickets to any Convocations show, a backpack cooler, Purdue swag, a waterproof speaker and more.

Just as our benefits do, all vendors and programs at the fair will align with one or more of the five pillars of the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program— behavioral health, financial wellness, physical health, social wellness and work-life integration — that reflect the university’s priority on overall health and wellness.

Your Choices. Your Well-Being,’ and we believe strongly in that message. We hope the fair will be well attended and will help employees engage more with their comprehensive benefits package.”
