Drive-through flu shots at the West Lafayette Center for Healthy Living begin Sept. 25

Seasonal flu shots, which support the physical health pillar of the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program, are provided annually at no charge to all benefits-eligible Purdue faculty and staff, as well as spouses and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan, through a variety of means.

Drive-through flu shots at the Center for Healthy Living on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, 1400 W. State St., Building B, Suite C, begin Sept. 25 from 7 to 9 a.m. 

Drive-through flu shots will be offered on the south side of the center, with both morning and evening time slots available for added convenience. Drive-through flu shots at the West Lafayette CHL will take place: 

  • Sept. 25, 7 to 9 a.m.
  • Sept. 26, 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 2, 7 to 9 a.m.
  • Oct 3, 4 to 6 p.m.

In addition, the CHL on the West Lafayette campus has on-campus flu shot events planned in October and will offer flu vaccines at the center to benefits-eligible employees and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan on a walk-in basis beginning Oct. 1. Simply stop by to receive a flu shots; appointments are not required. Pediatric patients 6 months and older can also receive their flu shots at the CHL beginning Oct. 1.

Another option for flu shots on the West Lafayette campus is the Purdue University Pharmacy (PUP), 575 Stadium Mall Drive. PUP is offering flu shots to all faculty, staff and students as well as dependents (ages 11 and up) by appointment only. Schedule a vaccine at PUP here.

Flu shots will be available at the regional campuses in early October.  View the website for details.

Purdue in Indianapolis flu shot availability

Flu shots will be available at Purdue in Indianapolis in October and November. Details are available on the website.

Other flu shot options

Employees also can schedule their flu vaccines with their health care providers or at a local pharmacy. 

Reminder: Earn Healthy Boiler incentive dollars

As a reminder, flu shots are included in the 2024 Healthy Boiler incentive as one of the optional well-being, incentive screenings in step 2 for those 18 years and older. Therefore, those who get their flu shot in 2024 and log completion into the Healthy Boiler Portal, are eligible for additional incentive dollars.
