Faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees have until 5 p.m. Friday (May 17) to register for Spring Fling activities. The annual appreciation event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 23 at and around Memorial Mall.

Staff appreciation postcards were not mailed this year, and registration for all Spring Fling events is available online only. Employees can enter drawings for door prizes by printing and completing the door prize entry form. Entry forms must be brought to Spring Fling and deposited at the information table by 2 p.m.

This year’s event marks the return of the classic vehicle show, set for 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oval Drive. Faculty, staff and retirees can register to display their antique, classic and show cars; trucks; motorcycles; and other vehicles. All participants will receive an event dash plate, and special awards will be presented.

The golf outing on the Ackerman-Allen Course is $55 and includes 18 holes with a cart. To reserve a tee time, call 765-496-9313. Tee times will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9:30 a.m. Purdue staff IDs will be checked as players check in.

Registration for the 3-mile fitness walk/run is required for those wishing to participate and receive a medal. Participants can begin the walk between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and must be finished by 3:30 p.m.

All other activities, including fitness classes, musical entertainment, yard games, disc golf and the blood drive, will not require registration.

For more details about the event, visit the Spring Fling website.
