*Two students in Indianapolis are running in the 2024 Purdue Student Government election. 

Shekinah Glory Ngum, who studies energy engineering, and Carlet Pierrelouis, who studies computer engineering, are vying for the title of vice president. Students voted online this week. This election marks the first time that students in Indianapolis and West Lafayette will serve in the same student government.

Purdue prof urges early start to STEM education (WISH-TV)

Leading voices in education are urging parents and teachers to expose younger students to science, technology, engineering and math topics. Early STEM education is a passion for Brandon Sorge, associate professor of STEM education research and co-chair of graduate programs in the Department of Technology Leadership and Communication in the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology in Indianapolis. In a March interview with Channel 8 Daybreak anchor Scott Sander, Sorge shared insights based on his years of research and teaching.
