The Office of Research at Purdue is accepting nominations for the newly established Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research (RECR) Award.

To advance Purdue’s drive toward research excellence, the RECR Award will recognize exceptional efforts within colleges, departments, centers, institutes or research groups to promote a robust culture of research integrity, an important contributor to delivering reliable, reproducible and unbiased research outcomes.

The Office of Research plans to recognize one or two recipients. Each award provides up to $7,000 in discretionary funds that awardees can utilize to further the training and education of researchers within their units or groups. This may include the development of RECR training materials tailored to their research field or participation in ethics conferences and workshops specific to their research areas.

Nominations of individual researchers, research groups, academic units, institutes and centers are welcome. The deadline for nominations is Aug. 30.

Nominators, including self-nominators, are encouraged to use this online RECR Award nomination form. For more information, visit the Responsible Conduct of Research website
