Registration open for Worldview Workshops offered by CILMAR

Academic building and snow on the Purdue University campus.

The Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment and Research has opened registration for its fall Worldview Workshops, created to help faculty and staff understand the role cultural differences play in the daily work environment.

The workshops, which are designed for academic advisors, front office staff and other faculty and staff in public-facing positions, are set to begin May 2. A full list of workshops, as well as registration details, can be found on the CILMAR website.

Consisting of six virtual sessions — five on Zoom and one on Brightspace — the workshops use activities and facilitated dialogues to create the “aha” moments and deep reflection that lead to intercultural learning in the areas of self-awareness, communication and empathy.

The workshops are designed to recognize that each participant brings valuable experience and insights to the table, creating a space for collaborative learning to the degree that each participant feels comfortable.

Certificates will be awarded to individuals who complete all six sessions.
