Neil Armstrong Hall reopened today with restrictions

Trees and an academic building on Purdue University during the winter season.

Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering has safely reopened with the following restrictions in place:

  • East and west entrances remain available; all others are emergency exits only.
  • The atrium is closed, but a designated walkway between the east and west sides of the building is available.
  • The third floor atrium bridge is closed.
  • Classrooms B061 and B071 are closed.
  • Hot work in all labs or fume hoods is prohibited, including open flames or sparks. Lab occupants should test a fume hood prior to using it and avoid chemical work if the fume hood does not operate properly during testing. Related questions can be sent to Mita Juristyarini, Environmental Health and Safety assistant director of research safety, at pjuristy@purdue.edu.

Faculty, staff and students who need to be in the building should obey posted signage while work continues in some areas. The building will remain unlocked until 11 tonight. Keycard access will be unavailable after that time.
