Purdue Dining and Catering to offer 'Desserts Around the World'
December 7, 2015
Purdue Dining & Catering will be offering its annual "Desserts Around the World" on Tuesday (Dec. 8) at dinner in each of its five dining courts.
Special desserts from China, Germany, Turkey, France and the United States will be represented with offerings such as Schneeballen (German chocolate-covered fried pastries) at Ford, Kazandibi (brulee milk-based pudding) from Turkey at Wiley, Raspberry Clafoutis (a baked dessert of fruit) from France at Hillenbrand, as well as several additional items at each of Purdue Dining & Catering’s residential dining locations.
Purdue Dining & Catering worked with several student groups such as the Turkish Student Association, the Purdue University Chinese Students and Scholars Association, the French Club and the German Culture Club to develop menu items. In addition, this event is organized and coordinated by dietetic interns through the Nutrition Science program at Purdue as their "themed meal" project.
"We are always looking for ways to collaborate with student organizations to provide learning opportunities for our customers to enhance their education," says Kari Glebe, director of residential dining for Purdue Dining & Catering.
Prices for a guest meal are available here. For more information on what each dining court will be serving, visit the mobile menus website for more information.
