Fabulous fashion and flair. Sensational sketches. Contagious creativity and inspiring individuality. They translate their passion for style into clothing, toys, technology and lifestyle. They bring their visions to life. Meet our 5 Students Who Are Style Makers.
The students featured are:
* Katie Azzi, an apparel design and technology major with a minor in art and design. Inspired by fashions of the 1940s, '50s and '60s, this designer has her eye on a future as a product developer for a worldwide retailer.
* Aaron Gray, an industrial design major. On the road to becoming a professional concept artist for movies and games, his sketches and skills have already been put to work at Hasbro, where he worked on Marvel (Spider-Man) and Star Wars projects.
* Kenny Hsieh, an industrial design student. A childhood love of sketching has found its niche in projects ranging from a cell phone case to a futuristic excavator. His dream? Design something iconic, monumental, pacesetting.
* Molly Longest, a communication student who is also studying art and design. Style and lifestyle blogger, photographer, independent spirit. She envisions life as an entrepreneur who not only creates fashionable products but also gives back to the community.
* Paige Tomfohrde, an apparel design and technology student and alumna of Purdue's visiting student program with New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. With theater costume design also in her tool kit, she hopes to be a part of the world of fashion trend forecasting or concept design.
