Training sessions set for new Scopus citation database

Training sessions are scheduled for Sept. 12 for Scopus, a citation database of more than 18,500 peer-reviewed journals.

Scopus includes 1,800 open access journals and is the largest abstract and citation database with more than 47 million records.  Scopus also indexes trade publications, book series and more than 4.9 million conference proceedings. Citations in Scopus link directly to full-text articles to which Purdue subscribes and results can be exported. 

Scopus can be accessed at www.scopus.com/home.url.

Training will be available in the Hicks Undergraduate Library iLab, Room G959 at the following times:  

* 9-10 a.m.
* 10:30-11:30 a.m.
* 1-2 p.m
.
* 2:30-3:30 p.m.
* 4-5 p.m.
