Schwartz Tennis Center to host USTA Free Tennis Play Day

September 12, 2012

Schwartz Tennis Center will host a USTA Free Tennis Play Day from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 16) for children ages 7-10.

USTA (United States Tennis Association) Free Tennis Play Days are being held throughout the country in celebration of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play in an effort to get kids active and involved in tennis during National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month in September. The play days provide kids and parents of all skill levels with the opportunity to experience tennis in a social and fun setting.

The event is open to the public with an emphasis placed on family participation, effort and sportsmanship.

More information about Schwartz Tennis Center is available at www.purdue.edu/tennis or by calling 49-43600.
