PMU's summer concerts to offer dinner, music options

Three Wednesday evenings in July will provide times to celebrate summer, food and music at Purdue Memorial Union.
The annual Summer Concert Series will continue the pattern of food service starting at 5:30 p.m., and free music starting at 6:30 p.m. and running until 8 p.m. on the Union's front lawn. Tables and chairs will be set up, but guests are welcome to bring chairs and/or blankets.
The dates and musicians:
* July 11 -- Moonshine Mason and the Rot Gut Gang, country (URL: www.myspace.com/moonshinemasonandtherotgutgang)
* July 18 -- Groove Catz, blues/jazz/funk/rock (URL: www.groovecatz.com)
* July 25 -- Michael Kelsey, guitar in mixed genres including rock, soul and funk (URL: www.michaelkelsey.com)
The rain location for July 11 will be the Union Commons on the ground floor of the Union, and for July 18 and 25 the North Ballroom on the main floor.
The menu on all three Wednesdays will feature a choice of four favorites fresh from the grill -- marinated chicken breast ($4.00), hamburger with cheese ($4.00), hot dog with bun ($3.50) or veggie patty ($4.00). Sides will be carrot and celery sticks w/ dip ($1.75), fresh fruit salad ($2.00) and chips ($1.75). Soft drinks in cans and water in bottles will be sold for $1.25. A combo of one grill item, two sides and one soda will be $7.50. Pappy's ice cream will be sold separately.
