Tommy McClelland to become new Purdue Athletics director

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Tommy McClelland, currently vice president and director of athletics at Rice University, will be introduced Thursday (Aug. 6) as Purdue’s next vice president and director of Intercollegiate Athletics. McClelland will succeed Mike Bobinski, who previously announced his intent to step down at the end of the calendar year.

McClelland will be formally introduced by the Purdue Board of Trustees and President Mitch Daniels during a press conference at 11 a.m. ET Thursday (Aug. 6). The public is invited to watch a livestream of the press conference at https://www.youtube.com/live/wFCyG3mx4-g.
