A paper co-authored by Huseyin Gulen, professor of management in the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business, was cited in the “2023 Economic Report of the President.” The paper, “Policy Uncertainty and Corporate Investment,” originally appeared in the “Review of Financial Studies” in 2016. It deals with how elevated uncertainty about global economic conditions and changes in the economic policy environment can reduce or reverse investment flows. His co-author, Mihai Ion, earned his doctorate in finance from Purdue in 2013 and is on the business faculty at the University of Arizona.
