Join the Delaware County Master Gardener Association for the Annual Garden Walk on Saturday, May 24, 2023. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour 7 exceptionally eye-catching private and public gardens located in Delaware County. The landscapes featured in this year’s tour include:

  • Country Garden
  • Bluebird Cottage Garden
  • Ross Community Center’s Rose Tranquility Garden
  • Begonia Garden
  • Serenity Garden
  • Peaceful Koi Garden
  • Awakening Garden

Gardens will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. This is a rain-or-shine event.

Each landscape will feature innovative, unique, and sustainable gardening trends, themes, and strategies that attendees can use to transform their own yard, garden, or backyard into an outdoor oasis. A few of the themes and topics that attendees will discover include:

  • Planting for Pollinators and Wildlife
  • Plant Selection and Color Balance
  • Gardening in Small Spaces: Raised Bed and Vertical Gardening
  • Hardscape and Paver Design
  • Aquatic Bog Garden
  • Cut Flowers
  • Fairy Garden
  • Pesticide-free Gardening

Extension Master Gardeners and homeowners will be present at each garden to answer your questions.

In addition to the tour, several local artists will be painting landscape scenes from the gardens en plein air. Watch as they capture the beauty of the garden.

Conservation Tales, a children’s book series that educates young readers on wildlife conservation, will be available for purchase at the Serenity Garden. Attendees can also receive a free black gum and bald cypress tree seedling (while supplies last) and be entered into a drawing to win one of several great garden prizes.

Tickets are $5 per person in advance of the tour, or $7 per person on June 24. Children 12 and under are free.

Pre-sale tickets may be purchased by contacting a local Delaware County Extension Master Gardener (delcomg1@gmail.com). Tickets will also be available at both the DCMGA Plant Sale at the Delaware County Fairgrounds and Minnetrista Garden Walk on Saturday, May 13.

Tickets can be purchased on the day of the tour at the G&M Garden Center, 101 W Royerton Rd., and the Ross Community Center, 1110 W 10th St, in Muncie.
