Helen Nocito

The Horticulture Crops Weed Science Lab welcomes a new member, Helen Nocito. Helen is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in Plant Biology. She is interested in weed management and ecology, with a focus on horticultural crops. She joined the Meyers lab on June 3rd. Her MS thesis will focus on integrated weed management systems for pumpkins with an emphasis on waterhemp. In the future, Helen would like to facilitate the use of more sustainable farming practices in commercial farming.
