The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture announces that Dr. Linda Prokopy will be departing to assume the role of Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Vermont, effective July 1. Dr. Prokopy’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing the department’s mission and achievements during her tenure.
Following Dr. Prokopy’s departure, Dr. Aaron Patton will step in as Interim Department Head while college leadership works to identify and select a permanent department head. Dr. Patton previously served as Interim Department Head prior to Dr. Prokopy’s appointment and demonstrated exceptional leadership during that transition period.
The department wishes Dr. Prokopy continued success in her new role at the University of Vermont and looks forward to Dr. Patton’s continued leadership during this transition.
