Erin Percevault, HLA faculty and staff, and Purdue Extension educators are partnering with Watch Us Farm to support planning and design efforts for their future campus in Zionsville, Indiana. The organization, which helps adults with disabilities find meaningful employment, was recently featured in the Indianapolis Business Journal (https://www.ibj.com/articles/zionsville-organization-helps-adults-with-disabilities-find-work – subscription required), highlighting their impactful mission and ongoing development. Erin Percevault was interviewed for the article, sharing insights into the collaborative work underway.
The project has benefited from the generous expertise of colleagues within Purdue’s Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture (HLA) and Purdue Extension. Graduate student Ishraq Awashra, from the Center for Community and Environmental Design (CCED), has played a key role in the design process. Additional contributors to the initial land planning concepts include Ashley Adair, Nathan Deppe, Petrus Langenhoven, Barrett Wilson, Aaron Thompson, Andrea Hatfield (Purdue Extension, Boone County), Elysia Rodgers (Purdue Extension, DeKalb County), and Jason Tower (Superintendent, Southern Indiana Purdue Agricultural Center).
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to community impact, aligning with Watch Us Farm’s mission to empower individuals through purposeful work.
