OMP/HLA CSC Workshop Explores Gender Identity Support

Attendees at the OMP/HLA CSC Joint Talk

The Office of Multicultural Programs & Horticulture and Landscape Architecture’s Community Standards Committee presented a reading discussion and workshop on April 14th about supporting our transgender and nonbinary students and colleagues. The discussion was facilitated by OMP Assistant Director & WGSS Lecturer, Molly Barnard. We had a great turnout and appreciate all who attended and participated in the great discussions. Our questions and conversations revolved around understanding the nuances of gender, where to incorporate pronouns in the workplace, and how to support trans and non-binary individuals on an everyday basis.
