Lillie Fronek (Sophomore/Horticulture), has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the Spring 2025 Cornerstone Contest. The theme for this semester’s competition was “Dreams.”
Fronek, a student in Professor George Elliott’s SCLA 101 class (Transformative Texts I), impressed judges with her artwork titled “Reflection.” The piece depicts a beautiful and serene landscape complete with still waters, lush forests, and a vibrant sunset. In her artist statement, Fronek relates this time of day as a moment when “we start to drift from reality towards a dream-filled slumber that reflects our lives.”
Her artwork has been submitted for publication in the upcoming edition of the Cornerstone Review.
