The Langenhoven Lab is welcoming two visiting scholars, Lian Durón and Eduardo Miranda. They are both from Honduras. While at Purdue, they will be participating in research aimed at improving the long-term potential and sustainability of agriculture and food systems by improving the links between economics, production, and food safety that lead to profitable small- and medium-sized farms.
Lian completed her Bachelor’s degree at Zamorano University. She has great expectations for this internship. She is very interested in farm business planning, production management, food safety, and marketing.
Eduardo also graduated from Zamorano University, majoring in Agricultural Science and Production. He has a keen interest in horticultural crops and would like to use the knowledge gained during this internship to support the development of horticulture in Honduras.
