New paper from the Hoagland Lab led by former graduate student Narda Trivino, titled ‘Carrot genotypes differentially alter soil bacterial communities and decomposition of plant residue in soil’, was published in the journal Plant and Soil (https://doi.org/10.1007/s11104-023-05892-0). The long-term goal of this research described in this paper is to develop new carrot cultivars with better nutrient scavenging capabilities to enhance productivity in low-input production systems.
