Henrique Petry presented his talk “Understanding the impact of tomato domestication on rhizosphere metabolites and root microbiomes”, and his poster “Impact of nanoplastics on rhizosphere microbiomes and rhizosphere metabolites in tomato and lettuce.”
Lily Berry Presented her talk “Predicting Cadmium Uptake across Spinach Genotypes Using hyperspectral Imaging and Machine Learning”, and her poster “Relationships between Micro-nanoplastics, Microbiomes, and Drought Stress in Lettuce Using Machine Learning.”
Cristian Salinas presented his talk ”Coffee Root Endosphere Microbiome under Legume Intercropping Systems”, and his poster “Role of nanoplastics in tomato soilborne disease dynamics.”
Lori Hoagland presented her poster “10 years of Tomi – What we’ve learned that can help reduce foliar diseases in tomato.”
As part of the Arequipa Nexus Institute:
Dennis Macedo, co-director of the Arequipa Nexus Institute and professor at the National University of San Agustin (Peru), presented his talk “The Arequipa Nexus Institute – Working across borders and disciplines to address challenges facing the foo-water-energy nexus in southern Peru.”
Lori Hoagland presented two posters “Soil enzyme analysis in diverse agricultural communities of Arequipa, Peru,” and “Helping organic farmers in the Colca River Valley (Peru) transition to organic production.”
Rosa Cossio, Project Manager at the Arequipa nexus Institute, presented her poster “The Arequipa Nexus Institute, a study of an innovative north-south research partnership in a changing environment.”
Additionally, Lily Berry earned second place and Cristian Salinas earned third place on the Urban and Anthropogenic Soils poster competition.
