On Tuesday, September 2, the HLA department hosted its annual Welcome Back Event for undergraduate students, bringing together new and returning faces for an afternoon of fun, food, and connection.
Students enjoyed a festive taco bar, participated in a lively scavenger hunt, and relaxed with a few rounds of cornhole on the lawn. The event was emceed by Kathryn Orvis, who kept the energy high and the crowd engaged throughout the afternoon.
A special thank you goes to Rachael Carter for organizing the event, and to Lori Jolly-Brown, Kristina Cooley, Becky Stevenson, Pam Fisher, Colleen Flynn, and Macon Beck for their help with setup and logistics.
We also want to recognize our amazing HLA Ambassadors—Isaac Damer, Katelyn Rockey, Savannah Gunderson, Allison Sapp, Erica Grams, and Layne Krug—for going above and beyond to make their fellow students feel welcomed and supported.
