80 Acres Farm
Thursday October 2nd, at 3:30pm, HORT 117 or via Zoom.

80 Acres Farms is a pioneer in vertical farming, revolutionizing how fresh produce is grown and delivered. We are entering a new era as a company, following the acquisition of facilities and IP from Kalera and a merger with Soli Organic, increasing our commercial farm count from 2 to 7 and distribution from 1700 to 17000 storefronts.

Our way of growing has sustainability advantages over conventional agriculture, including reduced land and water use, minimized chemical inputs, lower food waste and transport emissions, and quality and consistency advantages for consumers. Our farms rely on both proprietary and publicly available technology to control environmental conditions and automate operations, optimizing plant health and yields. Our data-driven approach enables us to quickly identify and resolve issues throughout the growing cycle. This presentation will cover the production process at 80 Acres Farms from seed to harvest, including data collection and application.
