Book cover for Steve Hallett's translation of Laozi's Daodejing

A new book by Steve Hallett was featured in Monday’s Purdue Today. Laozi’s “Daodejing”: A New Translation With Environmentalist Commentary, published by Purdue University Press, offers a fresh translation of the ancient Daoist text paired with original commentary focused on environmental and social sustainability. Drawing connections between ancient wisdom and modern ecological challenges, the book invites readers to reflect on humility, restraint and long‑term thinking in a time of global environmental change.
