Drs. Li, Varala and Widhalm Receive Seed Grants from CPB

Dr. Ying Li, Dr. Kranthi Varala, and Dr. Josh Widhalm were awarded seed grants by the Purdue Center for Plant Biology. Each project received $40,000 to support the generation of data for submitting federal grant proposals. 

Their projects awarded funding are:

Gyeong Mee Yoon (PI) and Ying Li (co-PI): Phase separation in ethylene signaling.

Kranthi Varala (PI) and Chris Oakley (co-PI): The role of a conserved cold regulatory network in responses to diurnal temperature cycling.

Clint Chapple (PI) and Josh Widhalm (co-PI):Deciphering the role of phenylpropanoids in the regulation of plant growth and development.

Ying Li (PI) and Natalia Dudareva (co-PI): Deciphering the molecular mechanism of small molecule sensing by chromatin machinery.

Sharon Kessler (PI) and Josh Widhalm (co-PI): A systems approach for manipulating oilseed yield potential through regulation of ovule number
