Dr. Ying Li, Dr. Kranthi Varala, and Dr. Josh Widhalm were awarded seed grants by the Purdue Center for Plant Biology. Each project received $40,000 to support the generation of data for submitting federal grant proposals.
Their projects awarded funding are:
Gyeong Mee Yoon (PI) and Ying Li (co-PI): Phase separation in ethylene signaling.
Kranthi Varala (PI) and Chris Oakley (co-PI): The role of a conserved cold regulatory network in responses to diurnal temperature cycling.
Clint Chapple (PI) and Josh Widhalm (co-PI):Deciphering the role of phenylpropanoids in the regulation of plant growth and development.
Ying Li (PI) and Natalia Dudareva (co-PI): Deciphering the molecular mechanism of small molecule sensing by chromatin machinery.
Sharon Kessler (PI) and Josh Widhalm (co-PI): A systems approach for manipulating oilseed yield potential through regulation of ovule number
