Cristian Salinas Participated in Ayllu Agtech Bootcamp

Cristian Salinas joined the Ayllu Agtech Bootcamp at FAO for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago (Chile).

As part of a FAO bootcamp to train rural youth professionals in Ag innovation and sustainability for Latin America, Cristian Salinas, PhD student at Hoagland’s Lab, was one of the 15 selected over almost 10.000 applicants to attend this event in Santiago de Chile.

Ayllu AgTech Bootcamp is an initiative organized by the FAO Office for Science and Innovation for Latam, led by Dr. Soroush Parsa, and Mapocho Foundation, to train and empower college students and professionals from rural backgrounds in Latin America to solve the biggest challenges related to food security, water availability and distribution, access to equitable and competitive markets, fair prices for smallholders and rural empowerment.
