White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and Division of Consumer Science - Career Day

HTM/CSR Career Fair Information:

We would like to formally invite you to our White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) along with its Division of Consumer Sciences (CSR) Career Fair. We have collaborated for our fall career fairs since fall 2014. Our White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) is here to better serve students and enhance the quality and visibility of our programs in  hospitality tourism and consumer science. The fair encompasses all majors in our School. We look forward to bringing a great experience to our majors HTM: Hospitality and Tourism Management, along with a Leadership Development Certificate. CSR: Selling and Sales Management, Retail Management and Financial Counseling and Planning along with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and our employers!

The staff at the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management's Career Center are here to assist you.  We will work together to coordinate a career fair and work with company representatives to help provide opportunities for our students and alumni in HTM/CSR to gain access to a broad range of employers, employment information and opportunities. Our HTM/CSR Career fair will be organized and presented entirely by our HTM/CSR students. HTM offers our undergraduate major: Hospitality and Tourism Management for students interested in Food and Beverage, Hotel Management, Restaurant Management and Event Planning.  CSR offers three undergraduate majors: Selling and Sales Management, Retail Management, Financial Counseling and Planning.

Activities associated with our on-campus fall career fair include 160+ companies in attendance, various workshops, a graduating senior and company representative reception, company representative luncheon, Marriott Executive in the Classroom Guest Speakers, information sessions, opportunities to speak in a classroom and on-campus interviews.

In addition to our on-campus career fair, we will also be hosting a “Day on Campus” for those companies who are unable to attend our career fair.  For our “Day on Campus”, you will be provided a table outside our main classroom to give you the greatest access possible to HTM/CSR Students. We will only have one company per day to set up, so you may want to reserve your day as soon as possible.  Please contact Maria Poynter at 765-494-4729 or poynterm@purdue.edu
