Purdue Board of Trustees Approves Promotion and Tenure for Wookjae Heo

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue University Board of Trustees approved faculty promotions and tenure during its meeting on Friday, April 10, recognizing excellence in teaching, research, and service across the university.
Among those honored is Wookjae Heo, who was approved for promotion to associate professor with tenure in the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM). The promotion will take effect at the start of the 2026–27 academic year.
The Board’s action is part of a broader approval of faculty advancements across the Purdue University system, highlighting the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
Dr. Heo joined Purdue in 2021 and has contributed to both the hospitality and consumer science disciplines through his teaching, research, and industry-relevant scholarship. His work supports student success and advances knowledge in financial and service-related fields.
