Eligibility of faculty participation in IBSC graduate program and member selection process

Any faculty within Purdue University who has a biological background and is interested in applying engineering principles to solve a medical related problem is eligible to apply. The IBSC Advisory Committee will formulate the detailed criteria for the selection of IBSC faculty.

The IBSC Advisory Committee will first review the application from a prospective faculty member. The final decision on the induction of new faculty to the IBSC will be made jointly by the Dean of Purdue Veterinary Medicine (PVM) and the Head of the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering (BME).

The IBSC Advisory Committee will conduct an annual review of the performance of IBSC faculty. The membership of those faculty members who remain inactive or unconstructive for more than a year will be terminated.
