In September 2016, a small group of students that would later become the 2016-2017 LGSO Board, started meeting to discuss building an organization that could provide a sense of community for Purdue Latinx graduate students. Starting from nothing at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, these students have nonetheless successfully managed to organize social and professional development events directly addressing the expressed needs of Purdue Latinx graduate students.

The Purdue Graduate Student Government (PGSG) is the legislative arm of, and the dedicated advocate for, the Purdue graduate student body. We continuously seek out ways to engage our graduate students with each other, with Purdue University, and with the Greater Lafayette community.

We are also interested in building relationships with local organizations to help facilitate communication with the graduate student population and we are dedicated to serve as a resource for the betterment of the community.
