Why Extension?

Tell us about your background?
I am a IISG’s community planning extension specialist located in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at Purdue University. I collaborate with Purdue Extension staff, community leaders, stakeholders, and interest groups within the Great Lakes Region through programs that combine research-based tools with community planning processes to help determine and achieve the public interest.

I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and joins IISG with five years of municipal planning and economic development experience with the City of Lafayette, Indiana. I earned a Master’s degree of urban and regional planning from Ball State University and a Bachelor’s degree in history from Monmouth College. I also earned a secondary educator’s license in the State of Illinois.
