Research Excellence, Access, & Learning (REAL) Scholars Program

The REAL Scholars program fosters students' engagement in undergraduate research. The program is open to any undergraduate WL student. Students participate in approximately 10 hours of undergraduate research per week. Students receive a stipend for their work.

Every student who is new to the program will also be required to take GS 490 – a one-credit seminar course aimed at helping REAL Scholars turn their undergraduate research experience into a presentable poster. In order to fulfill the requirements of the program, REAL Scholars also present their work at the Undergraduate Research Conference or Expo.

The REAL Scholars Program is semester-by-semester. REAL Scholars can participate for one semester, or they can apply for multiple semesters.
