On April 11, the presidential and legislative elections started in Peru and Ecuador. In Ecuador , one of the candidates is the conservative banker Guillermo Lasso, and in Peru, the candidate is the leftist candidate Pedro Castillo, who led the pools of 18 candidates with scarcely 17 percent of the vote. He will dispute the presidential seat against former lawmaker Keiko Fujimori, daughter of former president Alberto Fujimori.
