The Methodology Center is an interdisciplinary community increasing methodological rigor to advance health and social science knowledge. We serve as a translational entity between methodologists and applied health and social science researchers through collaboration, instruction, and research. We embrace the importance of inclusivity in methodology where all methods from all disciplines are valued.

Leadership
The current MCAP co-directors are Trent Mize, Kristine Marceau, James McCann, and Sharon Christ from the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Health and Human Sciences.
History
With support from Purdue University’s Provost’s Faculty Cluster Hire Program, the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Health and Human Sciences collaborated on a cluster hire initiative of tenure-track faculty to expand campus-wide expertise in advanced quantitative and qualitative methods in the behavioral, social, and health sciences. In 2016 and 2017, eight new faculty were hired to join other faculty at Purdue with research and teaching interests in methodology.
