International Travel Document Decision Matrix

The US Department of State website map is the definitive source to determine a Travel Advisory of "Level 2-Exercise Increase Caution-Contains Areas With High-Security Risk" (L2-EIC-CAWHSR) or higher level.

Note: Faculty/staff overseeing students or student groups going to destinations under a level of L2-EIC-CAWHSR or higher need to first request an exception of the Purdue Security and Risk Assessment Committee three months in advance. Protocol documents are designed for short-term individual students and groups well as establishing permanent programs (both which are being edited). If approved, sponsoring faculty/staff are required to attend to related tasks before student departure.

Please note additional helpful travel links and direct questions about student travel to the Office of Programs for Study Abroad (765-494-2383) and questions about faculty/staff travel to the Purdue Travel Office.
