The Intercultural Learning Hub--A repository of intercultural mentorship resources

The Intercultural Learning Hub (HubICL) endeavors to be the one stop needed by intercultural learning (ICL) practitioners seeking to mentor others in ICL, whether in the academic classroom, the study abroad experience, and/or co-curricular offerings.

The search function found along the left hand side of the HubICL Toolbox offers a mentoring function for users, as HubICL users are encouraged to consider best practices in choosing resources according to the facets of the AAC&U VALUE Rubric for Intercultural Knowledge and Competence, stage-based pedagogy based on the Intercultural Development Continuum (IDC), and tools which assist in teaching the four phases of Dr. Michael Vande Berg's transformational processes.

The HubICL also offers an ever-growing Research Repository of open source publications which demonstrate the intercultural development gains made by students through mentored ICL interventions. Users are encouraged to look first at a recent white paper by Michael Bittinger from the Purdue Study Abroad office and then proceed on to other HubICL Research Repository offerings.

For those looking to mentor others or to be mentored in field of ICL, the HubICL offers opportunities to learn from others through Groups, Forums, and Collections.

To get started using the HubICL, please create a free membership here. Those who register as university or college faculty or staff are automatically invited to join either a faculty or staff Group in which users can find a community of other practitioners with whom they can ask and answer questions pertaining to ICL.
