Martin C. Jischke Award

The Martin C. Jischke Outstanding International Student of the Year Award is presented annually each spring to honor a graduating Purdue undergraduate international student who has helped the University welcome and connect people of all cultures. 

Faculty, departmental staff, and academic advisors are invited to nominate students who best fulfill the following requirements:

  • Graduating senior who has attained a minimum of a 3.0 graduation index (Graduating senior” is an undergraduate international student graduating in December 2016, May 2017, or August 2017.)
  • Scholarship (minimum 3.0 GPA and academic achievement/recognition in other areas such as research, publications, presentations, etc.)
  • Leadership (demonstrated at Purdue through departmental/student organization affiliation or employment)
  • Service (welcomes and connects people of all cultures, both on campus and in our community)
  • Outstanding Character

Completed nomination forms and all accompanying letters of support should be sent to CILMAR, Young Hall, Room 120, no later than March 10, 2017. The recipient will receive a certificate, a $2,000 award from the Jischke Endowment, and be honored at the CILMAR Awards Reception in April.
