Youth & Family Programs

Fun for everyone! Our Youth and Family programs provide involvement and youth recreational sports for the families of faculty, staff, and students at Purdue University.  Participants can expect an educational, friendly, fun and safe atmosphere in order to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. 

Youth Classes and Clinic Options

Youth Cooking Classes

Learn how fun and easy cooking can be. Your child will learn how to make delicious recipes in a hands-on, safe, and fun environment, and taste everything along the way.  All of our classes teach valuable knowledge and life skills, including basic culinary skills, food safety information and how to make healthy food choices.

  • Columbian Kitchen: Saturday, January 27
        10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (5-8 year olds); 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (9-12 year olds)
  • Healthy Lunchboxes: Saturday, February 24
        10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (5-8 year olds); 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (9-12 year olds)
  • Hungry for Hungarian: Saturday, March 23
        10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (5-8 year olds); 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (9-12 year olds)

Youth Climb Time

Led by RecWell climbing wall staff, climbing wall clinics introduce children to climbing and bouldering in a fun and encouraging environment. This activity challenges children and teaches important safety requirements. Cost is $10 per child.

Youth Sports Clinics

These Clinics are designed for children to learn the basic fundamentals of sports like soccer, basketball, and t-ball in a safe and enjoyable environment. Children will learn about individual and team goals, sportsmanship and fair play.
