Recruiting Excellent Faculty
The Office of the Provost and Office of Ethics and Compliance (OIE) will hold in-person training workshops required for all faculty who participate on or chair search committees. The goals of this training are to:
- Help you conduct an efficient, effective, and compliant equal opportunity search
- Help you be intentional about your search efforts and processes
- Provide opportunity to learn about biases and assumptions, ways to insulate your search from them, and what to do if something goes ‘wrong’ in a search
Faculty search committees are to be comprised of individuals who have completed this training or a previous Faculty Search and Screen workshop within the last five years (see Past Workshop Attendees list below).
