Children's museum celebrates STEM, engineering gift guide

INDIANAPOLIS and WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Parents and educators are invited to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis on Saturday (Nov. 5) to learn about STEM and engineering toys recommended in this year's Engineering Gift Guide from Purdue University.

This is the third year for the guide assembled by INSPIRE Research Institute for Pre-College Engineering. This year it features almost 100 fun and educational toys, books, games and applications. Free copies of this year's Engineering Gift Guide from INSPIRE will be available, and some of the toys also will be available for purchase at the Museum Store.

The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the museum, 3000 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, will feature a number of the top toys suggested in this year's guide on display inside the museum's Sunburst Atrium. Museum admission information is available online

INSPIRE representatives who worked on the guide also will be on hand to talk about the toys and the gift guide.
