- The College of Veterinary Medicine recently received a new art installation, "Rockette the Circus Bear," for a collection of art in Lynn Hall. Created by St. Joseph College art instructor Bonnie Zimmer as part of Greater Lafayette Museum of Art's summer exhibition, "Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My," the sculpture was displayed outdoors in the triangle at the top of State Street Hill near Chauncey Village. The design features hundreds of natural river stones and glass beads. Ed and Carol Purdy donated the sculpture to the college, where it could be displayed indoors. It can be seen in the curved hallway behind Lynn, Room 1136. The bear sculpture joins several other art pieces in Lynn Hall, including three dog sculptures from the college's 50th anniversary celebration in 2009, and several paintings by the college's faculty and staff.
