WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Doktor Kaboom! will perform at Purdue University's Loeb Playhouse at 3 p.m. Nov. 24. This performance is presented by Purdue Convocations.

The performance also includes a free preshow activity for ticket holders at 2 p.m. This will include displays and crafts for Explore Space Day and will be in the Stewart Center West Lobby in association with the Indiana Space Grant Consortium.

Doktor Kaboom! returns with an all-new show, "It's Just Rocket Science!" that explores the real problems associated with rocket science: centrifugal force, gravity, inertia, momentum and, yes, math. A spiky-haired German scientist and sometimes rapper, Doktor Kaboom! turns the stage into his own personal laboratory and the audience into his assistants. The boisterous brainchild of scientist/comedian David Epley, Doktor Kaboom! explores the unpredictable, entertaining possibilities of scientific exploration. This improvisational journey into scientific method and application is an experiment in fun that families won't want to miss. The show will last approximately one hour.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 18 and younger, Purdue students and Ivy Tech Lafayette students. Tickets are available at the Elliott Hall and Stewart Center box offices at 765-494-3933 or 800-914-SHOW.

Initiated in 1902, Purdue Convocations was one of the first professional performing arts presenters in the United States.
