Life in Color rescheduled to April 21

West Lafayette, IN. - The Life In Color outdoor concert scheduled for Thursday (April) 18 at Purdue University has been rescheduled to Sunday (April 21) due to expected inclement weather. Promoters and university officials, in consultation with the National Weather Service, have agreed that predicted heavy rain and potentially severe thunderstorm activity for the Lafayette area pose too great a threat to stage an outdoor concert.
The concert, sponsored by the Purdue Student Concert Committee to celebrate Grand Prix week, will take place Sunday from 7-11 p.m. at the Purdue Band Practice Field (Hull Field) just west of the Purdue Fire Department near Third Street and Martin Jischke Drive in West Lafayette.
Life In Color promoter Zach Samson stated, "Since the concert has been rescheduled to the previously announced rain date, no refunds will be offered for the date change."
He also stated that, "due to the change in date, the artistic lineup for the show may be subject to change, but the show will still contain all of the spectacular features and concepts of a Life in Color event."
Tickets issued for Thursday's date will be honored at the door. Tickets printed after the announcement of the move to the rain date may only reflect the revised date.
Ticket-holders must be 18 years of age to attend and must present their ID. There will be a mandatory visual search and bag check at the point of entry. No food or drinks are allowed to be taken into the show area. Concertgoers are encouraged to "Have a Blast, Leave No Trace" in respecting Purdue property before, during, and especially, after the world's largest paint party.
